From the impossible focus while tracking down and then blasting through the 4 minute mile in a chilly day on that cinder track in England, Roger Bannister showed that this was not only possible, it was done.

Having the impossible courage and athletic grace to hit a rawhide baseball 715 times over a fence amongst years of racial based death threats, Hank Aaron showed that this was not only possible, it was done.

Having the impossible determination to pursue a dream, Kamala Harris became the first woman, African American, and South Asian to hold the seat of Vice President of the United States, and showed that this was not only possible, it was done.

The unimaginable record to break by Bannister, was broken 46 days later.

Aaron’s record was broken 33 years later.

And Harris, Harris is the only the initial voyager opening the door for more people of varied and diverse backgrounds and heritage to become elected officials.

All of these seemingly impossible. All of these improbable. All of these – done.

We can look at these monumental feats, pause to reflect on the person, understand the journey, and appreciated the accomplishment.

Now. Now it is YOUR turn to make the impossible, possible. It is closer than you think.
