Defining our own path to Longevity
What is YOUR definition of 'longevity'? When we take a look at the Marrion-Webster Online dictionary, we see the common definition of: a long duration of individual life.
Am I the only one to think that THAT definition is one of the most boring and uninspiring definitions there can be? Who truly wants a long duration of their life if they are not healthy enough to DO anything or ENJOY life? NO ONE!
So you and me, right now, let's make a definition that we can be inspired by and that moves us.
Longevity: the act and intention of being healthy enough to leave something great behind.
I am a firm believer that your life is determined by your health. In my Mom's last few months she waived me over to her chair and asked me to call the priest so she could receive her last rights. She then said the words that would have a massive impact on me: "Without your health you have nothing". This hit me like a nuclear bomb and has stuck with me til this day and forged my direction in life.
So longevity MUST start with your health.
But to create longevity, to create a legacy, let's leave something GREAT behind. It may be the inspirations and insights you gave to your children. A bench on a park trail. A special song you taught someone. Memories of unforgettable times. A letter. A book. Or maybe even a symposium. It doesn't need to be a massively financially backed operation, but it needs to make an impact.
Let's decide today to get healthy. Really healthy. And then let's make a dent in the universe by the way we live, love, learn, work, play, and pass it on. We are all better when we do. So we start by changing the words we use to explain longevity, and the way we live it.
Welcome to Empire Longevity!
