OUR LONGEVITY ARTICLES OF THE WEEK:  June 20th, 2025

Keeping Your Memories

I have been working on a webinar, and webinar series over the last weeks.

The subject is "Cognitive Mastery". I think this is an absolutley important and critical discussion we should have and a critical part of our health and health care that is pushed aside.

CREATE THEM

As I say in the initial webinar, I think it is CRITICAL that we be healthy enough to CREATE GREAT MEMORIES by the things we do, the people we meet, the places we go, the things we learn. Absolutely critical that we be healthy enough to do these things. The priorities of what, where, who, and how much is up to you. But we all want to MAKE GREAT MEMORIES.

KEEP THEM

The next aspect of this critical trilogy is to KEEP YOUR MEMORIES. It is fundamental for us to be able to KEEP these memories and have them accessible amongst the Dewey decimal clutter of our brains. Just like the old card files that libraries once touted as the state of the art, and then going to microfiche, and ultimately on=line, our brains are capable of far more than all those combined. But we must be healthy enough to be abel to KEEP THOSE MEMORIES.

SHARE THEM

Of all the ideas discussed in the webinar, being able to TELL your memories, to be able to share them, not matter how many times, is what makes it all worth while. Over the Father's Day weekend I got to have my Father-in-law over for a cookout. He started, and then was egged on to tell even more stories of many, many years gone past. He laughed telling them. We laughed hearing them. At 92 years of age he has a few stories in his story book. Be healthy enough to SHARE YOUR MEMORIES.

I will be sure to let you know when the webinar is coming out and of course post a link for you here and on our website. Some people will want further help and we can discuss that.

But please, let's all of us be so healthy that we CREATE MEMORIES, KEEP THEM, and SHARE THEM.

I look forward to this webinar and hope you enjoy it also.
