Mariah Beck is a third year veterinary student at Cornell University. She is focused on wildlife medicine, particularly in the area of marine conservation. Mariah is also a strong advocate and educator on the interdisciplinary crisis of plastic pollution. She has presented this topic to a wide range of age groups at places like Cornell University, AQUAVET®, and Oxford University. At the Empire Longevity Symposium, she will share this urgent and important issue through a lens of interconnectedness - how plastic waste impacts all forms of life on our planet. In her talk, she will emphasize how our engagement with this issue can strengthen our health in moral, physical, spiritual, and environmental dimensions.
