Mike completed his undergraduate degree in 2012 earning a Bachelor's of Science in Physics from SUNY Cortland. During his studies he took several graduate level electives in the field of renewable energy and building efficiency. It was during this time that he developed an interest for sustainable energies, especially solar. Mike had always wanted to pursue a career in science and engineering, and with a newly found passion for renewable energy he enrolled in the Sustainable Energy Systems graduate program in Physics at SUNY Cortland. This program enabled Mike to pursue engineering within the solar industry. While in graduate school he joined a company installing solar as an intern, and worked his way up from an intern, to junior designer, eventually becoming the lead engineer. In 2016 Mike shifted his career slightly within the renewable energy industry taking a position at Intertek where he conducts safety and performance evaluations on new and expanding products within the renewable energy fields. Mike has never lost his desire to provide solar energy to people everywhere, and so he became a founding member of Dragon Solar based in Cortland. Mike operates as the Design Engineer for Dragon Solar creating reliable and quality engineered solar powered systems to meet the demands of clients and contractors.
